Invoking the Divine Feminine

Sat nam Beauties,

I had a request from many people after my women’s workshop to post the invocation I did as we called down Mother Earth and the energies of the Divine Feminine. This invocation can be used a prayer, a meditation, and/or  you can do a daily  spiritual practice to bring the Divine Feminine into your being. I hope you enjoy and may these words inspire you and remind you of the power that is within You!!

To do the Invocation Raise your arms up to 60 Degrees. Focus on your heart and say these words and feel the presence of the highest power coming into your being.

Invocation of the Divine Feminine 

We call down Maha Shakti,

The Great Goddess,

The Life Giver and the Ultimate Mother.

We call her to Awake in US.

We call her to ignite us with our purpose as Creators to make a better world.

We call on Great Mother that rages in the rivers, the one that sustains and maintains all life force.

The one that causes our hearts to beat, that moves our blood through the veins of your oceans and rivers.

Like the rain the pours, your tears cleanse us until we are reborn.

We call on you Great Mother, to take out bodies and merge into form.

For it is with your power we are Reborn.

Shakti, We call on you to awake. Great Mother we call on you to Awake.

The world needs you now.

We need your guidance to show us the right direction.

We need your power to provide protection.

We need your soft touch to heal our wounds.

We need your creativity to show us the solutions.

We need your power to change, and we need your courage to hold the energy you sustain.

 Oh Great Mother we call on you now.

To awake within us our truth, creativity and our life breathing Destiny!

So we can serve relentlessly. So we can make this world one of peace, love and harmony.

For WE are Shakti!

I am calling on myself to Wake up!

I am in need of my self right now. The world needs me now!

I am a woman and I am the vessel of creation.

I am the Creator.

I am a Woman!!

Adrenal Fatigue- The Illness of the Modern Age

After years of pushing myself, I finally got the message my body was telling me. Enough is enough. Balance is key.

Well.. after striving and pushing for most of my life, my body finally had enough.  The last two years of working in the film industry pushed my adrenals past their reserves. Lack of sleep, long hours and extended periods of stress have had their impact on my body.

Yoga and meditation helped to keep me afloat, but after a certain amount of time the weight of stress was too much and my body needed to get the message to my mind, to stop what was killing me.

I didn’t want to change my life, I didn’t want to change my way of living.  But the body knows otherwise. Humans are not meant to be operating at such a high level of intensity for a long duration of time. The flight and fight response is meant to only last minutes, not days, or weeks, or in many peoples cases, years.

So here I am now, in a sense of awe.. That my body is forcing me into hibernation.

It doesn’t care that my mind doesn’t want to stop, it doesn’t care that I had plans. It only cares about survival and its health. It wants me to live in balance and its forcing me to do so.

I don’t know how the future will be, but what I do know is that I will change. I will change in how I use my energy. I will change in how I work and I will change in the person I become. This has long term consequences and will take 1-2 years to recover.

I knew throughout the whole experience that this was happening, but I kept going forward chasing after money, consciously running myself into the ground.

Our society as a whole, is running towards this illness. Our gas tanks operate on coffee and sugar. Every morning it shocks me how many people are in line at coffee shops, and how many coffee shops are on each block. It is the drug of the modern age and most of us are sleep deprived.

When we are stressed we eat poorly, make bad decisions and smile less. I see these hurried people, miserable faces all over the place. Their bodies screaming “listen to me!!” But they don’t, just like I didn’t and then illness sets in to wake them up.

Wake up before you have no choice. I had my warning. Im changing my life. Because the other option isn’t a choice.

If you have these symptoms you are probably moving towards Adrenal or Chronic Fatigue, talk to a nutritionist/ naturopath sooner rather than later.

  • Still very tired when you get up in the morning, even if y0u had 8-10 hours of sleep
  • groggy and tired at 3-4pm
  • easily overwhelmed and stressed
  • digestion is off
  • as a woman your cycle could be off
  • low mood
  • irritable, easily angered
  • have no reserves, once you are tired there is nothing left.
  • wired, but tired
  • foggy, memory problems
  • need sugar or caffeine to keep going
  • candida overgrowth

The Best Teacher is YOU

“By choosing to see things as a teacher I respond with respect.”

Everything is a teacher. From the speck of sand, to the vines growing on a delapitated building, to your worst enemy.
Nothing escapes the realm of experience and from experience comes wisdom.
I can choose to perceive something as a challenge or I can see it as a threat. It all comes from the perspective I am living in.

By choosing to see things as a teacher I respond with respect.
No longer judging, criticizing, rather, accepting and moving forward with appropriate action.
Despair arises in life when we question ‘Why is this happening to me?”.
My response ” Why not?”.
You are being given a perfect opportunity to have a victory. To rise above your advisories and learn something new.
If you knew everything, nothing would happen to you, because you would know.

The Earth is a playground of education. It is where we come to settle our accounts and learn from past mistakes so they are not repeated again.

If you have patterns, your not learning. You are repeating.
Change your response, change your life.
It really is that simple. If you want to get out of the same repetitive cycles, than act different and you will have a different response.
We are so used to responding in the same manner we don’t even realize we are doing it.
Try responding with love and kindness and see how an open heart is the best defense..

Become devoted to learning, make your prayer to elevate yourself under all circumstances.
Become that which you wish to see in the world as Gandhi would say.
Be a student of yourself, and life itself.

YOU WANT CHANGE!?!? BE IT.

Activist movements, protests are all passionately motivated by the intense desire for CHANGE.

Anger, frustration, impatience, unhappiness collect in a strong force to resist that which is oppressing. I have been passionately involved in movements, I used my anger to fuel me to engage in protests and speak about various topics that are affecting our known world. However, this anger, this feeling of injustice did not get me anywhere. Instead it fuelled the opposition and made me upset. I learned that  WHAT WE RESIST, PERSISTS! ( I am in no way saying to stop spreading information about injustice, rather, to direct all of your expansive energy into solutions instead of the issues- which I will discuss below).

What we feed energy, grows. Be it a small child, an animal, a worrying thought, an illness, an idea, OR EVEN THIS BOLDED, CAPITAL TEXTS. IT WORKS BECAUSE MORE ENERGY IS PUT INTO IT, DRAWING YOUR ATTENTION AND FOCUS. I WANT YOU TO SEE IT, SO I MAKE IT LOUD!! BUT IF I KEEP SPEAKING LIKE THIS, IT LOOSES ITS POWER, IT DOESNT STAND OUT ANYMORE, and just seems very obnoxious. This is what happens when we fight something. We get loud, they get louder, then we get louder and its this never ending battle. Ultimately no one ends up where they want to be, they only end up reacting to the opposing force. Both sides get Nowhere, instead of now here. To be NOW HERE, you need to be neutral, calm, centered and immersed in universal truth, not a subjective reality.

When we resist and fight against something, that force will come back in an equal reaction.

This is true in protests, wars, fights, mental thoughts etc.

If you want change, then BE the CHANGE, as Gandhi said.

By demonstrating how you want to live, how you want to be, you are able to create your reality. Instead of enforce it on others.

When you follow your dream  and stop telling everyone else that there’s is wrong, the push back is minimized.

THE ONLY PUSH BACK WILL BE YOUR OWN DOUBTS AND FEARS.

If we want change, then we have to make it in our own lives. Fighting and resisting will only create more  tension.

Awareness is good, spreading information is good. But it is important to do so with a NEUTRAL/ UNBIASED MIND.

Energy needs to be directed in a POSITIVE AND HEALTHY way. Focus on the better alternative, focus on how you want to be, not what you don’t want to be.

If you want to take power ( LIFE)  away from something, DONT FEED IT.

Feeding your passion to the devil, speaking about how bad they are, is causing them to gain power. Politics, corporations, celebrities all feed on publicity. If no one talks about them, then they loose their power. If no one buys their products they loose their power. It is like a plant. Stop giving it sunlight, water, food, it dies…

Same with everything you dont want in your life.

IF YOU WANT SOMETHING TO GO AWAY, TO STOP, TO END;

STOP FEEDING IT MENTALLY, PHYSICALLY, EMOTIONALLY. 

Let your attention always be focused on love, light and peace, and that will surround you.
