We all have an Impactful Destiny

Something that is common amongst humans is that we feel we are here for something. Our life has purpose, we know deep down we aren’t here to just flip burgers and waltz our thumbs on our screen. Our life has meaning. We have a destiny. But many of us say ‘I don’t know what it is’. I think we do know what it is, we are just terrified to admit it. Because if we know it then we have to do something about it.

But there is a problem…

Admitting it, we face it. We face it everyday when we aren’t doing what we were born to do. It makes us feel shitty, it makes us feel guilty.

And the problem is…

Our mind.

Everything is possible. But our mind doesn’t let us believe that. It blocks us, sidetracks us, makes us play small. It is very good at deceiving us and making us think we are safe. ‘Don’t you dare do what you are thinking because of x,y,z’. The problem is that if you don’t do it you are preventing your own growth, your own destiny. ONLY YOU can do what you came on this Earth-plane to do, no one else can do it. You are unique and your destiny is unique. Yet, I see soooooooooo many people letting their mind get in the way, stopping them from really having what they truly desire.

Your destiny doesn’t have to relate to work, it can relate to having a family, living somewhere else, writing a book, being a great partner, enlightenment you name it. I don’t want to box you into thinking this destiny= purpose = money. No, that’s a 21 century way of thinking and we are human beings first and foremost before being a ‘money producing machine’.

I see so many dreams die because of a lack of commitment but also because people are scared of themselves. They are terrified of what they could do and so they never do it. What did the ‘little you’ dream of doing in life before you let others peoples beliefs invade your mind? At the end of your life, what will you be content with? Will you be happy with the way you lived? When there is nothing to care about at the end of the day because you are leaving this Earth will you be satisfied with what you did and how you did it? I find reflecting on death helps to put things in perspective. Because death will creep up on us, it is there. We cannot pretend it doesn’t exist.

So as the age old saying goes- the riches place is in the graveyard. I tempt you to make this a false statement. I tempt you to finally write that book, move to someplace you love, do that art project, make music, carve a statue, make a bubblegum castle, marry your best friend whatever, you name it.

The world is yours if you grab it by the balls with no mercy and don’t let go.

Not even when your mind tells you how far you have to fall. Commit to yourself.

If you want to heal and deal with your belief patterns that are holding you back. Contact me and I can help ā¤

I wrote a book check it out.

Opening the Heart

Being disconnected from the heart’s energy, is one of the hardest things I have ever had to overcome. Feeling numb, disconnected, stressed, anxious, unsure of how you feel about this and feeling nothing at all. It’s as though one just walks through life, unaffected and zombie-like. Not really feeling or taking anything in, ones passion’s create no more zest. It’s looking alive, but being dead inside.

I struggled with this for numerous years after betrayal and trauma left my heart closed. I didn’t want to feel, I didn’t want to go there. It was easier to live life at that time being shut off. But then, at some point, I needed to feel again because not feeling got worst than feeling the pain. I became so uncomfortable with the suffering I was repressing. I thought I was safe this way. When really, I was still getting hurt by things, but I was numb, what a paradox. What I was really blocking out was joy, love, happiness, peace! I was numb to all that good! Isn’t that crazy. My heart was blocked, but what it blocked off was all of life’s good stuff.

I did everything I possibly could, you name it; affirmations, ayahuasca, vision quests, meditation, yoga, shamanism, counselling, coaching, herbs, crystals, Ayurvedic practices, exercises, flower essences, breath work, honopono etc.

Everything worked, if even just a little. I won’t tell you there is ONE magic cure that will blast your heart open and you will feel happy and wonderful again. No, it takes intention and dedication. It takes courage to face the pain, the emotions that made you shut down, and the trauma that hurt you. It takes authentic self reflection, self forgiveness, and self acceptance to say you did your best and that is okay, you may not be perfect but that is okay, what happened to you may not be ok, but you are ok. And maybe you aren’t even okay right now, but you will be okay at some point in the future. Your life may not be perfect, but after all of that, you are still ENOUGH! No matter what you are enough. And you are still okay. You made it, you are a surviver and you are a badass spiritual warrior.

There is no magic cure to anything (I believe). It is an accumulation of many things.

How to start the healing process?

Your intention is important. Starting with intention is a great start. It is stating what you want to happen, with your power behind it. It is creating a force field into the universe. When you make a strong commitment you bend energy to your will.

Then listening to the universe, paying attention to signs. People you keep hearing about, or feel drawn to, places, things you feel a pull, a draw too. Explore it! You never know where it may lead.

Opening the heart after trauma, a break up, betrayal etc can be tricky because the body remembers the pain and wants to protect itself. It may open for a short time and then shut back down again. This happened to me, what feels like a hundred times. What I can say for this is that it takes patience. It will happen, maybe not right away but trust that. Maybe you are learning something, maybe there is more to uncover and maybe you just aren’t ready yet. And, that is okay. Everything takes its own time. The apple falls when it is ripe. Your heart will open in due time. You will trust in yourself again in due time. Be patient, I know it’s not easy but there are greater things at work than what we are aware of. The first step to healing is saying you are ready.

I know there is lots of tips and how to’s on the internet to open your heart and just so you are not disappointed here is some šŸ˜›

My book ‘Rise in Love’ is available on amazon, it has exercises and goes more into depth with love, self love and relationships and healing work. Tips to Not Hate Winter but to Actually Enjoy It

It’s getting colder…

The days are getting darker.

‘oh… noo…’ I know what your thinking.

Autumn is over and the winter equinox is upon us.

Winter doesn’t have to be all that bad, it can be beautiful. I know, it can be unbearable at times cause where I am it can be 6 months long but there are ways to make it not just bearable but wonderful!

Here are some health inspired tips to not only bear it but enjoy it! šŸ™‚ * From experience!

  1. Drink GINGER tea every morning! I swear by this. I have been doing this for 4 months now and I feel great. It gives you an inspiring jump of energy and your circulation improves, no more cold hands and feet. Your digestion gets better and you feel warmer. How to do it? Chop up a two-inch piece of FRESH ginger and boil it in water, simmer once at boiling point (2 cups about) for 20 mins. Enjoy! (I make mine quite strong, try different amounts to get the perfect taste for you). Tip- it has to be fresh to get the benefits and not to imbalance any of the doshas, ayurvedically speaking.

  2. Wake up to watch the sunrise. I know you’re probably thinking, ‘are you crazy, all I want to do is sleep’. ‘Well yes…’ But if you wake up just before the sun rises and then find a window in your house where you can see it rise and get those sun rays I bet your mood will improve, you will have more energy during the day and a brighter outlook. Vitamin D the natural way is always great. If you totally can’t see yourself doing this.. then please take Vitamin D.

  3. Enjoy more warming foods/herbs in the winter like cinnamon, nutmeg, cayenne pepper, black pepper, cloves etc. Have soups, stews and lean protein sources to give you the energy to stay warm. Avoid and stay clear of anything cold or raw during the winter, your digestion and circulation will thank you.

  4. Get outside. I know its cold, but your body still needs to move and I truly believe exercise is one of the most important ways to stay healthy. Go skating, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, tobogganing, snowboarding or even biking! If you really can’t bear it then do yoga.. inside… or some kind of YMCA class.

  5. Take care of yourself. Cold hands and feet – drink ginger tea, if still cold or you didn’t listen to me or you need immediate effect, put cayenne pepper powder in your socks (make sure no open cuts). Cover your neck and back and make sure to protect your core. Best to be warm and avoid drafts/cold on your hardworking organs. Keep the core warm always. It’s an eastern secret.

  6. Socialize, don’t hide away. I know most of us just want to stay as a hermit away from civilization during those cold days. But it is so important for your mental and emotional health to go out of your house and actually talk to a human, not just a computer. Like I mean not typing, like real one on one human interaction where you can actually touch a human being… which leads me to my next point!

  7. Do as the Danish do, create ‘hygge’! What is that? Well, it’s creating a cosy atmosphere in your home. Lighting candles, playing soft music and making yourself comfortable. Better yet, create it and invite someone else to enjoy it with you šŸ˜‰ If you catch my drift… (side note: that is another indoor activity you can do to exercise).

  8. Take care of your immune system. If you do get sick or before you feel you are getting ill. Because prevention is key! Take vitamin C at 1000mg, follow directions on the bottle. For herbs-  elderberry is used traditionally to combat viruses and the flu. It works wonders. Ginger, as mentioned above, is also great for colds, add some lemon and honey to increase its effectiveness. If you want to learn more holistic flu remedies click here.

Elderberry Juice – Makes a great syrup too!

Well, that’s it for now.

I hope you enjoy these winter wonderland – fun land tips. Please comment below and let me know if they improve your winter and make you enjoy it any better?

Much love to you,

Magic – The Real Power Behind Intention

Magic? What is it exactly? Hollywood and many authors have shown it as something witches and wizards possess. They use it to their advantage against innocent victims. It’s been presented in a very dark and twisted way. But it’s not like that at all!

Magic is mystical but it is positive and there are rules that come with using magic. What would we say magic is? I believeĀ magic is a creation of desired events that appear miraculously because it transcends time and space in how it presents itself.

e5e78ac9498f54daec94a3829f862736.jpg

How we do we get magic in our lives?

It comes through using the mind as a focused and precise channel for creation.Ā

Anyone is capable of making magic!

It is using your mind in a clear and focused way, channeling your intention in whatever you are doing and seeing (visualizing) your desired goal. Human beings were made in the image of God (as many monotheisticĀ traditions say), that means we have the same capacity to create. However, our minds are full of thoughts. We create many things we don’t want because our thoughts are messy. We think about the problems we have, we focus on the drama or our dog ripping apart our sofa. When those thoughts get cleared with techniques like meditation and yoga then we begin to be able to focus on our thoughts in a constructive manner.

You are what you think and your dreams are directly correlated with how your life looks like. You can tell the limit of people’s thoughts by how their life is. If you believe something is impossible, it becomes impossible. The matrix is real and it is here and now, but it’s not in the way you think. It’s in your mind, not outside of you. Ā Your ability to control your thoughts directly impacts the environment around you.

A human being is a creator and theyĀ all possess the ability to manifest magic.Ā

It is believing that you have this ability, it is aĀ belief in your ability to create, that allows this gift to blossom.

Magic is here and now and it’s only desire is for you to awaken and use it. You are powerful, you create everything around you both good and bad. What will you choose?

Ā Laws of Magic:

  • Do no harm.
  • Whatever you do will come back to you 3x times, either good or bad. So focus on the good
  • Make sure that you are not intending to interfere in anyone’s life or take away their free will
  • Be clear- affirm your intention strongly. If you don’t take it seriously, how can the universe?
  • visualize your intention as being a success, feel it, smell it, taste it. Engage all of your senses
  • Have fun šŸ™‚

How to Release Stress and Move to Peace

Dear Stress, Lets Break Up

StressĀ is not from any outside quarter.Ā StressĀ is when an outsideĀ pressureĀ is not matched and overcome by your inside intelligence.

4/10/80 -YB

Stress is a sign we have lost our center and moved into fear and anxiety. We have contracted and cut ourselves off from source, thinking we have to do it all alone. To release stress we must connect back with ourselves and reconnect with our truth. Ā Learning to surrender, let go and working with the flow of life, rather than against it.

Choose 3 things to incorporate into your life, to create more peace, stillness and happiness.

Ways to Reduce stress:

  • Meditation, spiritual practice: Scientifically proven to reduce anxiety and stress and rewire the brain.
  • Breath work: Sitali Breath, Long Deep Breathing, breath of fire
  • Cat/ cow posture
  • Acupressure- point on the shoulders, neck and upper neck.
  • Lavender and Spearmint essential oils: Diffusing, or putting them in your massage oil
  • Listening to soft soothing music
  • Dancing
  • Eating whole, unprocessed foods
  • Reducing sugar and caffeine in your diet
  • Notice what triggers you and creates stress
  • Change your attitude to a different altitude ā€“ get positive: See the obstacles as a challenge rather than as a problem
  • Learn to say No: Donā€™t take on more than you can handle
  • Less is more
  • Go slow: Eat slow, walk slow, talk slow- reduce your pace
  • Mindfulness
  • Exercise- 30 minutes a day (yoga, swimming, light jog)
  • Get massages, especially Ā FOOT MASSAGES before bed
  • Eat dark chocolate
  • REST so you can rejuvenate
  • Laugh, watch something funny, be around friends that make you laugh
  • Make sure your Vitamin B is at normal levels- Take Vitamin B complex

Man under stress is his own enemy.

Ways to Unwind for the evening

  • Make your bedroom into a safe, relaxing space where you can retreat and dream well.
  • Donā€™t go on computer or cellphone after 6pm, so that you have time to unwind and the lights donā€™t activate your brain to alert mode.
  • Warm bath or shower
  • Drink magnesium calm before sleeping to relax the body
  • Foot massage either for yourself, or exchange with your partnerJ
  • Yoga Nidra- Deep Relaxation technique
  • Diffuse lavender essential oils
  • Have a Himalayan salt lamp in your room for light- also producing a calming, meditative effect
